The three chapels before you are (left to right):
- The Saint Ann Chapel (1)
- The Vesper Picture Chapel (2)
- The Saint Blase Chapel (3)
The chapel in the middle is decorated with rich Baroque stucco and presents the highly venerated Pietà (4) with a seated Mother of God and the body of Jesus in her lap (around 1420).
This chapel was immensly damaged in the course of time. It was completely restored to its original state from 1640 in 2005-2006.
The chapel to the right was dedicated to Saint Blase, a helper-in-need, and reminds us, that the Empress Widow Eleonore, married to Emperor Ferdinand II, gave the original relics of Saint Blase to the Court Church of Saint Michael as a present in 1654.
The blessing of Saint Blase is still given every February 3rd with these relics.
